The city was always in a state of disarray. However, there was always a chance for it to be saved. Now it lays on the brink of total destruction. The city's last hope, a group of young citizens who once gathered together to bring the city back to life, have split on the case of multiple disagreements. One side wishes for dictatorship while the other wishes for a say. So many years of growing up in this filth, their broken hopes turned to rage, and that rage turned them each against each other. A war began.

The Synx are strict and dark people. They hold themselves with an air of superiority and wish the same for their city. They believe the people don't deserve a say and that the city should be dealt with under one man's rule. They believe in the royal colors of violet and dress as such. They are known for going around blasting music. Although they are quick to punish, they only want what's best for their citizens.

The Dayze are open-minded, benevolent people. They believe in the freedom of the people and wish for everyone to have a say for the city they must live in. All ideas are welcome and even the occasional impossibility is explored. Their beliefs in love and freedom have lead them to dress in the same fashion. They have been known to go around painting peoples' faces or clothes. They will always love their citizens unconditionally.

The wars grew violent. It started with graffiti, to vandalism, until it escalated to full-on murder between the gangs. Because the gangs were fighting for hope, nobody were sure how to intervene. However, things have changed and these wars have gone on for far too long. If they carry on, those who wished to save the city will be the ones to inevitably destroy it. To stop this from happening, the local strung-together police have finally built up the courage to intervene. To avoid turning the tensions against them, they have sent a few specially trained recruits to join the gangs as undercover members. They are to gather information and spot out the weaknesses. Even this tactic may prove to fail...

It is not for the gangs to decide which preference is right or wrong. It is for the citizens to decide. This is what the police wish to get them to understand, but the young members have all been corrupted with rage and desperation, grasping at straws for the hope that they could reach if only they weren't so blind to it. If the war were to continue on as is...then there may be no hope left at all.

City and Gangs
The City of Lost is a mostly modern city. There are tall buildings with multiple stories along with an area for homes and shopping centers. The city itself is not very large, however. It's in a state of poverty. Most people dress in rags and go garbage digging to find their next meal. The richest people in the city, who live a high middle class lifestyle, are those families who work in law enforcement and those who run the city (there's a counsel of five big wigs who supposedly monitor and take care of the city).

There aren't any specific territories marked down by each gang. Whatever's marked in purple spray paint is usually considered Synx territory and whatever's in red spray paint is considered Dayze territory, but they can be spread across the city or on random buildings. Being part of the gang doesn't mean you have to go along with their random quirks (like how the Dayze paint people up), but you can if you like. It's mostly just considered a non-mandatory gang activity.
